Services

The Well is open Monday; Wednesday & Thursday from 9.30 – 4.00, and Tuesday & Friday from 9.30 – 12.30.

As a drop-in centre we have no idea who is going to come, nor what they are going to bring in for us – it could be anything from reading junk mail to appealing a DLA decision.  Over the years as people have learnt to trust The Well they have shared deeply personal issues with folks in The Well, and found much help and support through that.

We have a range of languages available in The Well, including Urdu & Punjabi – the main languages of the centre users.

As well as the routine advice work, The Well provides English classes for men & women separately and a Mothers & Toddlers group.  In the past we have held computer classes, and had a craft group.  Indeed one of the highlights of The Well was the making of a banner.  24 women & 1 man worked together on the theme of “What does The Well mean to me?” People produced a wonderful collage which shows the deep affection that people have for The Well. The finished product hangs with pride in The Well, and is admired by all who see it.

We also organize summer trips, and Christmas parties for the centre users.
